ball joint boots

Postby 247christian » November 22nd, 2013, 8:59 am

So I purchased brand new beck/arnley control arm with the ball joint about 9 month ago for a teg I never drove and now I look at them and there cracked. I have spare energy suspension boots but its very difficult to get the ring to clamp down to secure it, since theres no grove like the oem ones.. any one here running energry suspension boots and got theres to work that could give me some advice... fyi the boots came in the full enegry kit for a 84-87civic and all the other bushing are great a feel good

The boo will get smashed down when it is installed.

So since there is no indent on the boot to place the ring do I just forget about the ring?? Since the boot will get smashed into place? Also since I bought the full master kit for an civic would the civic ball joint boot work? I dnt see why not. It just fits a little big so im just wondering. And on the energy suspension parts website they have different ball joint boots for our tegs
