Cheddas Auto Panhard bar installation

Postby aarongolesch » April 22nd, 2017, 9:52 pm

Here's a quick guide to installing the panhard bar for your integra....

This is a very easy process that only requires about 20-30 minutes of your time.

1. First, you want to jack the rear of the car up on both sides, you do not have to remove the wheels.

2. You will see that on the passenger side, there is a 17mm nut with a washer on it. It is recommended that you take a hammer and give the nut/bolt a few whacks to loosen it up. This hardware has probably been on there since 1988.

3. Go to the drivers side. There is a 17mm bolt on that side that goes thru to a welded nut. Give it a whack with the hammer to get it loose.

4. Once the hardware has been removed, the stock panhard bar may take a few whacks to get it to fall down. Remove old bar.

5. The new bar already comes pre-lubed. Install the same as how you removed it. Adjust the bar by loosening the jamnuts and twisting the bar to extend it. One of the nuts is reverse threaded so keep an eye out for that. Make sure to put locktite back on the hardware when installing it.
