Hawk HPS Pads

Postby MinkelR » September 10th, 2015, 7:24 pm

Anyone use these on their teg? Do they make much noise? I don't mind any extra dust. Looking to get rid of my current semi-metallic pads since they fade on hard braking.

I've had good luck with axxis metal masters before. They tear up rotors and make lots of dust, had great pedal feel and good for auto-x light track use. If you are multi-lapping you'll need something with more heat resistance like hp+. Hawk always seems to be good though. I use some rock auto nonsense a lot. It seems with a lighweight car it's not as important. I have a friend who goes to the track with me in a 350z and uses a set of pads every other track day. I change them before they wear out just to make myself feel better.

When you daily drive them you need to heat them up before they get the job done. Just ride the brake a few hundred feet to warm them up.

Thats not true. It does work just fine, you have to swap some pins though.
