94 gsr in 89 teg help

Postby 247christian » May 18th, 2015, 2:07 am

just swapped a 94 gsr into my teg and now i just need a few more thing to complete it.

throttle cable do i get one off a 90-93 integra?
half shaft from a 90-93 teg?

Shift linkage does the stock one work or will i need one off a newer teg?

radiator i seen people use the stock one but the stock integra hoses are much larger then the teg hoses. do i just clap them down really tight and maybe use some honda bound so it air and water tight?

thanks guys any help would be great

I think i used the throttle cable off the 94. Need to know what transmission you use. I have a ys1 which required some custom axles. I'm using stock linkage, it just makes the 4-5 shift a little odd. I used some universal cut to fit radiator hoses. You can also get a mishimoto radiator for a second gen integra, it requires some custom brackets, but drops in place very easily.

thanks redteg73 so i got the parts i needed. i got a half shaft of a 90 integra which at first didn't fit into my 94 gar trans but them i have to get an oil trans seal from a 90 ten to make it work.

i got a throttle cable from a 90 integra and it work but i might try one off a 95 integra to see if it fits better.

as far a the radiator Im sticking with the stock one even though the b series water hoses are larger in size. i just put hondabond around the hoses and used the clamp that you can screw tight with a flat head. hopefully that works. i tried a 94 ten radiator but its too tall.

as far as the shift linkage that i got a stock one so hopefully that works.
my car was auto and now i converted it to manual so i have to do a little work to et the shift linkage to bolt up to the body of the car.

Change them. Its cheap maintenance at the very least. The plugs should be chAnged every 100k. Youll get better spark, mAybe even a bit of mileage.

What would Jesus do?
