Integra Type R Expo 16 - my first HPDE

Postby Ami » March 31st, 2017, 9:49 pm

First of all, no, you don't need a Type R to attend! ITR Expo 17 and NSXPO will be held at Road America in Wisconsin this September. If you want to register for ITR Expo, do it soon as they organize a great event and driver spots are selling like hotcakes!

Dan and I had an awesome time at Integra Type R Expo 16 at a gorgeous and high quality motorsports resort, Virginia International Raceway. This was my first High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) and this car was surprisingly capable and potent. I had truly excellent instruction that helped me push my limits. That car was squealing around corners and rolling tires.

Practicing my racing lines.

Hanging out in paddock with my better half while we let our engines (and brakes!) cool off.

The J32A2 is a hell of an engine and this car was so planted out there with the tires/wheels borrowed from my husband and the CL's stock helical LSD. It was 85 degrees during some sessions, because Virginia makes no sense, and it's nice to be able to run A/C while on track because the CL has some torque.

10/10, would do again! I totally encourage you to find an HPDE in your area.
