Hey man I got the same center console. Trying to figure out what to put in the factory equalizer slot so I wanted to know what you used? It looks cool!

Well....

I took this "bucket" out and took a file to trim off a little from the upper edge
Image
Drilled a hole in the metal bracket.

Then I took my JVC KS-ES100 (wich I had in my gen2 Teg back in 2005/2006) and took the frame off
Image

Image

On the back of the EQ, I lifted the DIN mount up
Image

Put the EQ in the console from the rear and then put a long bolt through the drilled hole in the bracket and into the back of the EQ with some washers to fill the space...

Image

That's about it....

Audio again....

My friend gave me a subwoofer (12") and amplifier => "For your TEG"

Image

It sounds pretty good, but there is no way it would fit in the trunk!

So me and a friend of mine have calculated the enclosure and designed a new one :)

And in the TEG, filled with my DAT recorder and CD changer:

And at the back (nothing is connected yet, but it will soon ;) )

LOL.

I was planning to use my JVC car DAT player, but I can't find the cables and DAC... So I can't use that one...
Therefor I used a "home" DAT and a 12V to 230V converter.... Now I can record on the road :P :P :P

Amplifier and converter are mounted to the enclosure:

Made a power distribution point (for 12V)

Image

And Teggies don't have rear headrests in Holland... But I had a spare set, so... a few hooks in the enclosure and we have hadrests :P

Looking great as usual. I like the Tupperware idea for the connector block. Keeping it home style! :geek: Looks like you'll be adding a continental kit to access the spare tire. Lol! :P

To do...

Put the clock on ACC1 (originally on ACC2) I disabled the DIM function already (I've i'ts barely visible during daytime when the lights are turned on)
Put the new installed runninglights on ACC2 :P
Paint the car.
Refurbish the filterhouse and camcover... (they are rusty :P )

Well, the old girl was going to the inspection this morning.
She didn't pass yet.
2 minor things have to be done and then she's good for another year :)

The problems why she didn't pass:

there's a little difference in the braking force on the rear axle
there's a tiny little hole in the rear exhaust pipe

That's all! We took a good look at the bottem of the car: absolutely NO rust! For a car at this age in the Netherlands (especially a Honda!) this is insanely rare! :)

So little workt to do and she's good!
Still love my Teg :)

YEAH! My Teg passed the inspection again. So she's road legal for another year! :)

All I had to do is clean the brakes and repair a small hole in the exhaust (Wich is the original factory exhaust!) At 468,000km (290801 miles) She's still going strong.

Never had repairs or rebuild on the motor! :)

A really good day today! :)
As I didn't want the Teg to go on the road in the winter, she was standing and waiting since september last year....
Well, today I put the battery back in the Teg and she startet right away! :)
Couldn't resist a drive, so up we go and a really really big smile appeared on my face! And I believe, my beloved Teg was smiling too! :)
First make shure the engine was warm and then... GO! Right trough the red line and she was loving it! (and me too :P )
Still love her to death! :) :) :)
471.369KM on it and still going strong! :)

Image

I have plans for her, she is going to be black with gold striping. The interior will get a facelift too!
Will be posting about that! ;)
