Aft door frame opening of drivers door should have the paint code decal. I'm thinking Montreal blue. Where did you import the teg from? 8-) That's also a pretty low serial number. :D

I bought it from a friends father that bought it from the importer, don't really know who imported it and from where... perhaps you can figure out where it was registered in the late 80's early 90's?!?
Sadly to say the rust has eaten a lot of it, trying to keep maintenance up but I'm no good with fixing rust, I can make it work for MOT with my sad welding skills, but apperance is scruffy at best.

Here are som pics from a couple of years ago when we rebuilt the rear fender.

Weird how none of your pics here are viewable. At least to me. Even if I take the [img] stuff away it's not allowing me to see anything. Oh well, at least customs okayed your box of goodies. Now if the delivery people can actually deliver..... :roll:

Installed gearbox with new 4th gear and accord 5th gear (tank you evtSteward)

Also installed gearshift bushings (thank you CheddaJ)

Although still can't shift to gear 1 and 2 all other gears work, gotta take down the gearbox,

MOT Results:
The left front Caliper didn't break very well, gotta get the air out of the system, apart from that no problem whatsoever.

Also tested out the Accord 5th Gear:
Speed: 110km/h (Standard Swedish high way top speed, we also have 120km/h on certain roads)
Revolutions: 2800rpm

GREAT SUCCESS!!! :)

Yeehah!!! Only problem with the Accord gearing is that it'll knock you down to 4th again on stepper hills and curves because of the high step. On the other hand, the 500 rpm savings seem to go exponential the faster you go. At 80mph it appears I'm saving even more rpms. I don't even know how fast I'd be going at 4000rpms. :o

I would say it's more like 500-1000rpm gain depending on how fast you go, but yeah gotta tag down to 4th when doing 50km/h roads (31mph) because it is like >1500rpms :p

But I dig it, gotta try top speed after I fixed the brakes, would probably have moved it up a bit, let's see if
the engine have enough power. :)

I have a formula to calculate top speed, do you have the gear ratio for the Accord 5th Gear?

First answer is always free of course. The second is damn steep. :lol: I'm at work right now but if you can, check the FSM pages it has all that in the specifications section, first few pages I believe. :roll:

Calculate theoretical top speed for Accord 5th gear on the teg gearbox
(gave it a try, don't know if I got the numbers/calculations right)

a = 185 (tire with mm)
b = 60 (tire hight mm)
c = 14 (rimm size in inces)
e = 0.694 (Accord 5th gear ratio)
f = 4,214 (Differential final reduction) - very unsure of this value
n = 7500 (engine rev limit) - not to sure about this value
pi = 3,141592654

Tires Diameter (mm)
d = (a * b / 50) + (c * 25,4)

d = (185 * 60 /50) + (14 * 25,4) = 222 + 355,6 = 577,6 mm
d = 577,6 mm

Tires Circumference (mm)
o = d * pi

o = 577,6 * 3,141592654
O = 1814,58 mm

Tires rpm
z = n / (e * f)

z = 7 500 / (0,694 * 4,214) = 2564,52 rpm
z = 2564,52 rpm

Top speed (km/h)
v = o * z * 6 / 100 000
v = 1814,58 * 2564,52 * 6 / 100 000 = 279,21 km/h

V = 279,21 km/h or
Is approx : 173 mph

Hard to believe, anyone good with math and want to redo calculations?!
