PGM-FI Help?

Postby naomiintegra87 » October 11th, 2012, 6:16 pm

My PGM-FI light is on, my car doens't start sometimes and when it doesn't it doesn't start for about 15-20 minutes. It sounds like it's not getting fuel to start even if I have a full tank. Help?

Year, trim level, trans type please. Did it die while driving or won't restart when warm? If you're uncertain as to the age of the MFR, I'd spend the $50 and take 5 minutes to fix it. Try this, keep your drivers window down, turn the key to 'run', just before the start position, listen to hear if your fuel pump whirrs for 2 seconds. That's telling you whether the fuel pump is weak or bad and other things too. Do you know how to read any codes stored since your PGM-FI light is on. If you'd give us your location we might have a trusted member in the neighborhood that'd be willing to help. 8-)
