Postby ukteg » September 15th, 2012, 10:00 pm

Hey all - things are looking great now be back online,

Repost from early 2012

Well after i took the other teg off the road for a while (back to life teg) for some more bodywork issues as normal
i was looking through Ebay for my teg bits/parts i come accorss another Integra for sale and ended up driving 200miles to view it and coming home with it,

a very clean model indeed but only the D15 1.5 carb model whitch my other ones have been the D16 models

Some History

1990 Honda Integra LX Auto - late (H - reg)
1497cc D15 Carb

one owner from new
full Honda service history
32.xxx miles on the clock

Idea is - massive build, B18 civic engine transplant,

this is how we got it and how it looked when i got home with it

update - 12.1.13

replaced the wheels for a set of fat fives from a civic vti EG6

got them off ebay for a small amount and repainted them in a VW/Audi grey

how i got them - had a clean down

Image

Image

rubbed them back and painted them up

Image

Image

Image

Image

did brakes to

Image

fitted up - had to get two new tyres

the 3 spokes was making the car feel real bad they was ET38 offset and 195 60 15 tyres

these are 185.60.14 and the same offset as the 14s from the later model Integra exi
and car feels great again

Image

Image

Image

hope to do this week coming are the bumpers painted - OEM front/rear lip replacement

a custom rear exhaust made up by powerflow

Omg dude, you still amaze me what you can do with paint, especially out in the elements. One set of pics its raining and your paint looks flawless. The other theres snow on the ground and the paint still looks flawless! I dont know how you do it.

Tegs lookin absolutely awesome. I think the black wing really tied in the black bumpers. Did the lip fit without mods or did you have to trim it down length wise? Looks great. Keep up the great work over there!

Ps - do you still have the white teg too?

cheers matt - you know me like to keep at it - you still got yours, ive still got the white one

update 11.02.2013

got a few little bits done - between working

come accross a ashtray on ebay a few weeks back and saw a G2 teg private compartment / no smoking / with it covered on the inside with what looks like a velvet fabric

well thought we would have a go at the same idea, we only had felt to use but worth a try and could use this a a practice shot

turned out kinda ok for a tricky job

how we started
Image

a few mesurements and templates
Image

Image

fabric
Image

template
Image

took some fiddle work but got it in - little trimming needed
Image

Image

also found that a - bank card / credit card or store card is the same wideness as the tray so cut a bit to size and covered that and made a small area that cant be seen when just opening the tray

Image

Image

Image

Image

holds 5 packs of rolling papers or is good for wheel locking bolt ect

Image

you have to cut it lower than the dip at the back so the tray still slides out as we found out after

Image

night look
Image

in day
Image

also got my Quint spoiler and car mats although all needed a little TLC

Image

Image

Image

after a clean

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

and the Quint GS spoiler damaged on one corner and a mounting bracket had snapped although the end ones are quite dead
but these will be removed as am NO way drilling holes in my car on that section as i like to change lol

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

clean down with Fraclia G3

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

small clean on the back

Image

Image

sort of held up to the car

Image

Image

Image

hope to have it on soon

update - 23 03 2013

wheels arrived - going to have these sent to a refurb company and have them sorted to factory spec

Image

also nardi wood center will be made again from a friend who hand makes this sort of stuff
its just looking a tad old and has a small split

Image

also had this set from a guy on another fourm called retrorides

not seen one like this

Image

Image

Image

Image

And worse of all the other day i slid my work van into the side of the teg - was parking along side and while we had snow all over i wheel spun while going backwards and it slid which made the tire push up against the door trim

Ooooops

What do you like better for the speaker grill... The covered ones or vented ones for sound?

Also would you please pull your rear fog switch and take pictures of the pig tail. Please

What is the story with the spoiler?
I've never seen that before. Is it a europe only option for the G1Teg?

I got/imported the spoiler from New zealand

removed from a 87 Honda Quint GS - Japan model - and Impossible to find a badge that fits the center

no model numbers but is a genuine part

about the same weight as the mugen one and fits the whole rear section
4 bolts on the rear but am cutting these out - not drilling holes in the teg

I've enjoyed a couple auto tegs. Our original I sold with 279K on the odometer. The other was an 87' SE that I sold, got back and stripped before crushing. :D

Want to discuss purchasing this from me? Complete mechanism is removed from the scrapped SE. Just collecting dust in the man-cave.

Yeah it come standard Robert funny ive always wanted the other one like yours - but love the tray as well
defo fancy the long stick shift

Its a bottom tray and does remove as a full unit - just bolts to the underside and would think you would need the other surround around the shift link

full of stuff i dont need
