"Thermosensor" ... temp sensor on radiator?

Getting ready to change the rad and was looking at the Factory service manual - it has an element labelled as "thermosensor" which sits next to the drain plug.

- Should I change this - never touched on it since 1999. Don't know if it was touched before?
- Do you such screw it on - what else connects to it - electricals?

em, Rad isn't that expensive but then there are so many other parts, clips (OEM are expensive) making the repair cost doubling!

Can not find any video of replacing the radiator? Any links?

Dealer gave me a part number and slightly different name, 37760-PB2-003, Thermostat Switch Assembly - is this the thermostat - then I had it changed when timing belt was done? Amazon seems to call it Fan Switch:
