Postby thebranded » January 29th, 2014, 1:32 am

Im sure there was a topic on this before.

What are the brightest reverse bulbs we can put before heat becomes an issue? or has anyone tried LED versions?

LED shouldn't be a problem as long as the wattage doesn't exceed OEM, which it shouldn't. Do you have a link?
I'm using the GE Nighthawk version of the reverse light bulb, found at Kroger or Freddies. They're a bit brighter but still leave something to be desired.

well thats what im not sure about.

The bulbs we have a 1156 which are meant to draw about 25w (12v 2.1 amp). if i get a 25w LED thats would be extremely bright. but how do u convert 25w incandesant to lumens in a led?

Cheap LED's are about the 5-10w. might try a couple and compare
