dash night light not working??

Just picked up a new 88 ls and I noticed that the dash light doesnt work when my headlights are on. Im wondering what it could be?

The background gauge lights? Might be the pod control connector is not inserted all the way. There also might be a fuse specifically for the gauge lights while the headlight wiring goes straight to the relay for operating the lift motors and high power feed to the lights themselves. Somethings disconnected from my view.

I was thinking it might be a fuse. All the lights even on the heater controls dont come on. At night its just completely dark

Definitely check the fuses. Maybe the dimmer control switch has something to do with it? Don't know what happens when those go bad.

Wonder if the ground above the steering column fell off? Or would that keep other stuff from activating?

Ok ill check the fuses on sunday. Im actually converting my interior from blue to black so maybe that will solve my problem lol but ill try to fix it before I convert it so for future reference
