Heater control knob stuck on High and blower motor is loud

sounds like it might be one of the cables in the the back of the dash going through the fire wall to the engine bay which allows the coolant from the engine to then run through the heater radiator. Check in the engine bay below the inlet manifold just off the firewall and see if the cable is kinked near the little box on the hose. Might just need some antisieze (WD 40) sprayed on it to loosen it up again.

Might be that your heater valve in the engine bay doesn't have the B cover on it. If you can see the vlave then it's missing. That box is supposed to keep the control wire in place on the valve. My suspicions are that the control wire is hooked over something, not allowing it to retract. Regardless, the temp will stay the same because it's not hooked up. The blower motor is another thing, either it's got a bad bearing or there's crap inside the squirrel cage fan making it spin out of balance. You'll either need to remove the blower or remove the windshield valance and clear out the debris. :geek:

If you don't have AC then make sure you clean the heater core face since the crossover tube is out. If you have AC then clean the cooler core face of debris. :geek:
