Going on Boost soon :D

So i took my car to a shop today. mind you the owner won FIRST place with the Cleanest Engine Bay and the Cleanest Civic in Florida...

after a price talk to him about rebuilding my engine, he tells me he will get a turbo kit for me and will put it on without rebuilding my engine due to awesome compression test levels..
i was kind of Iffy about going on Boost with the original engine with nothing but the head gasket done..
but i trust him and his work(his civic is stock engine going 20psi)
so by the next 2 months or so my 89 Integra will be on boost.(safe enough not to blow my engine or fuck up my pistons..)

i will keep you guys posted tho.

PS: it will be tuned in a Dyno

Be careful and do more research on the shop first. There is tons of people that say they can build a good setup but only a few really know what they are doing. Unless you really know them I wouldnt suggest it at all. As a sales person its his job to tell you he can do anything. You a fool for boosting a worn out stock engine anyways.

PS: Cleanest engine bay doesnt mean anything when it comes to boosting cars. And "cleanest Civic in Florida" sounds far fetched to me. I would say hes blowing smoke up your ass...

I wouldn't run over 10PSI on a stock engine, if that. Just be careful, get a good tune and have a backup car/engine in case it shits the bed.

Mines set to 6psi and rev limit lowered to 6500rpm to keep things safe. Professionally tuned by church automotive. Has been fine for me for about 6 months now. That's as high as I would suggest going.

Whats a nice turbo set up for a fresh zc motor from HMO .... i mean money is not an issue so whats best turbo kits out there anybody ?

There is no "best turbo kit" for our cars. Its all custom fabbed and made from scratch.

You are asking for trouble trying to tune that way when there are much better ways of tuning by converting to OBD1.

before i do engine work im getting a paintjob and all. my engine is fine now. so im not worried about engine work..

its fine pushin maybe 90hp.. add alittle boost.. say good bye rings. or even boom!
